How to win friends and influence people?

This is just a brief summary of the book of
Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People

Indeed this is a must read book for anyone who wanna build up a great people around. I read this book some 15 years ago and I still feel the freshness and it helped me a lot to grow as a happy man. So I just feel to share this with you guys.

  1. Be genuinely interested in other people. And never show your hatred to them
  2. Be a good listener of other person. This really works well, let him talk and then you start.
  3. Respect other person’s interests and opinions
  4. Be truthful to others and accept your mistakes
  5. Be sympathetic with other’s ideas
  6. Try to thank the other person and make him feel important
  7. Never get into a hot discussion or argument and try avoiding it
  8. Give honest appreciation and comments

  1. Thank you so kindly for this great sharing. This is a great and immense universe we live in, and everyone in it who takes the time to share their wonderful words becomes a kaleidoscope for our lives, allowing us to see and know things we might never otherwise get to experience within such a short overall period of time. It is the stuff dreams are made of. Thank you very kindly.

  2. It is definitely a classic worth reading in our lifetimes. In our world, everything is moving at high speed to the point where so much that was beautiful and sacred, such as the written word, the speaking of someone we have enjoyed talking to or writing to has, to a large extent, disappeared.

Recently I was talking to someone about letter writing and what it used to be like and what it is like now to get something with nothing but letters of the alphabet in some secret coded language. There was an outright joy of knowing that someone had not only thought of you, but had taken the time and energy to write to you. Even the joy of talking to someone in any depth is largely gone from our society as a whole. So yes, remembering this wonderful book is a very good experience, and I thank you for reminding us all of the important things in life. I just turned 77 on Thanksgiving, so I especially enjoy the richness of the exchange of conversations and writing with others. For me, it is like having my own kaleidoscope on the world. Thank you kindly.

      1. Nothing we have ever known in this lifetime will ever be lost to us, even if our memory goes from us now. We will meet it again somewhere in time and space, in this lifetime or in the next. The soul must be a form of energy, and Einstein once said (perhaps not in these exact words) that energy could be neither created nor destroyed, so it makes sense that we will be around in some lifeform or other form for eons. Who knows what or who we might have been in former lives, or what we might become in the next, but whatever it is, I am sure it will be a marvelous and magical journey. Peace and blessings always, Anne
